You don't have to try and figure out this social media thing all on your own. I'll light the way!

Believe it or not, your best day begins with what you do the night before. Your early track to success or failure depends upon what you have accomplished the night before. Although it may sound silly, by setting yourself up for success in the evening, you are well along your way toward more productive mornings. All it takes is some planning and a few things that you can do earlier that will save you a lot of time and grief going into the next day.

Clean up your desk: At the end of a hard day, I’m sure that you want to get away from your desk and be done for the day, but don’t. Allot yourself about 10 minutes at the end of each day to clear the desk off. File any extraneous paperwork, clean up any pens, pencils, papers — or if you are like me, essential oils — and clutter away from your desk. Don’t just shove it aside, but actually put it all back where it belongs. When you start the next day you will feel more productive because you have a clean work space.

Fill out your To-Do List – You can’t see where you are going if you don’t have a map. By the end of your work day, you already have a pretty clear idea of all of the things that need to be done the next day. Have your list pre-filled with all of the items that you will need to have done tomorrow. Instead of guessing where your time is going to go and what you have to do, you will have it all laid out in front of you already. If you don’t think you are going to be able to complete your list, now is the time to start taking off the items that don’t need done THAT day. If it can wait, take it off.

Lay out your clothes – Even if you work from home, you still don’t want to be scrambling around for clothes. Have what you want to wear all laid out. If you are like me and hate putting together outfits, doing it early will give you the time that you need to test putting things on to make sure that they match or fit. Trying to do that in the morning can derail you and make you late for appointments.

Find it all – If you know that you need to have certain items ready to take with you or will need for the next day, lay them out the day before. Worst case scenario is that you are searching around looking for things at the last minute and you either have to go without them or end up being late. Get them all the night before and if you can’t find something, get some help or make arrangements or changes to your schedule because of the missing item. If you are notorious for leaving home without something, leave yourself a checklist that you can see that is near the door. For example, everyday my husband has to check for 4 things before he leaves: Lunch, Wallet, Keys and Phone. They should already be laid out for him. Even if he packed his lunch the night before, he can still forget it. Not if he uses his checklist!

These are just some easy ways to save yourself time and stress in the mornings.
