Pinterest can be a major player for every business when used correctly. Whether you have a business that sells physical products, services or a brick and mortar, you can make the most of this platform if you get creative. Unfortunately, there is one big mistake that I see on many different boards from all types of business owners.
Posting only YOUR own content
Just like any other social media platform, it can’t be ALL about you. It can look spammy and is a major turn off. You may be thinking, ” What else can I post if I don’t post my own items?”
There are some instances where you may want to keep boards to only your own content:
Now, how can you incorporate other people’s items? You can create group boards in which you can openly or selectively, invite other people in your niche to pin. You pin to it as well as them, but here is the fun part: The board appears on their page so all of their audience that looks at the board can see your pins! That board will appear on everyone’s page that is a pinner!
You can also choose topics that are more open like your favorite food, recipes, clothes, designs, books etc… Go through your feed or search pins so that you can re pin other people’s content. Someone that may not have heard of you may appreciate your pin and then head to your board to see what you are all about. It’s like getting free traffic with minimal effort from you.
Get creative and have FUN with Pinterest. Just like any other platform, if people like what they see they will re pin your content and hopefully those followers will convert into sales!~
What is your favorite way to use Pinterest? Do you struggle posting other types of content?
