New InstaWoot for Instagram

You don't have to try and figure out this social media thing all on your own. I'll light the way!

Introducing InstaWoot for Instagram

Instagram is one of those platforms that is really up and coming. According to DMR, Instagram has over 300 million active users. If you have been questioning if you should get involved, that statistic is your sign!

If you are at all familiar with the free Pinterest scheduling tool Viralwoot, then you will love to hear about the new sister site, Instawoot.

In case you haven’t heard of either one of them before, the premise is pretty easy. Using the tool is free, to a point. You start off with 50 credits in your account (normally). These credits are what you use to get new followers and likes on your Instagram posts. Now, you can earn more by liking posts and following new people, or you can purchase them outright. Technically, you can use it for free completely, but you would have to actively be using it to really get the benefit. It doesn’t take long, just a few minutes a day.

When you login to your main screen, you can see the accounts that you can follow to earn more credits. You can easily read the descriptions and pick and choose which ones you would like. Thus far, since this is really new, I haven’t seen much in the way of spam… yet. People who I have followed have followed me back in some instances and engaged immediately with thoughtful comments.

You can also go into your account setting on the upper right hand side and choose how many credits you want your account to be worth when people follow you. The default on my account was 4 to Follow me and 2 for Liking my pictures. That is how many credits will get deducted from your account when someone performs either of those actions. If you run out of credits, you won’t appear anymore til you refill/ earn more.

Here is how you can earn some credits. First is by following, as shown above or by liking photos. The cost that is shown for either function is set by the account holder.

If you hover over any of the photos, you can read what descriptions are on the pins. On their sister version, Viralwoot, you are unable to see what text is written on the pins that you may want to like or repin, so this is a huge added bonus. I’m hoping that they add this feature to Viralwoot in some capacity.

These photos are ones that have been promoted. It costs 35 credits to promote a photo ( get Likes on it).  Depending on how many credits you have you can promote as many or as few as you like and can stop the promotion at any time.

Since this is so new, there is a waitlist, but you can get through it very quickly. I was told I would get an email when it was my turn, which I did. There are also ways to get ahead in line by tweeting and sharing some links about it.

All in all, this looks like it may not have as much spam. Unfortunately, there are going to be people that are going to like your account just to get credits and not want to engage with you at all. The higher the amount of credits you set for people to follow you, the more people you will get to follow, but also may increase your chances of spam. Sadly, that same thing happens with Instagram proper. This may or may not be a great tool to help you in your business, but as always, just be careful and start checking the quality of followers that you are getting. If it’s not for you, you can close your account or allow your credits to run out.

So far, so good!
