I was one of those people that did not like to post their Google+ URL on social media for a number of reasons. One of the worst was that it was a gigantic string of numbers and I would never remember it. If I was not able to copy and paste the long string I wasn’t able to use it anywhere. Now, Google+ allows you to make a a custom URL that does not look like a math problem exploded.
It is super easy to do and will literally only take seconds. There is some simple criteria that you have to meet to get one however.
- Account must be 30 days old
- Profile Picture
- 10 Followers
When you are on your page you will see the option at the top if you qualify. You will be asked to input a telephone number to receive a text message code for verification before you can change the URL. I chose the default option because it matched alongside all of my other social media platforms. Unless you alter it, your new personal Google+ URL will look like this: http://plus.google.com/+HeatherSanto/
