No one really wants to think about the holidays when the sun is still shining ( unless you are lucky enough to live where the sun shines year round!) and the weather is warm. Once the kids go back to school, it is time to put your business into holiday mode!
You will have things to do with your own family and friends plus your business so time is going to be cut short! The best thing that you can do right now is start preparing for the holidays so when the time comes, you are ten steps ahead of everyone else and getting your business ready for the holidays!
One of the BIG things that no one wants to do is handle cards. Here’s some you may use in your business:
These are just some examples of the types of cards you would want to send. The problem is that they all take time, especially if you have a HUGE client base, BUT the idea is to start now.
Let’s say that you have 300 customers in your data base and you want to be sure to send them all a Christmas card. Why not start gathering all of the addresses now and then share the responsibility and have someone write those cards for you?
Everyone loves a card that is handwritten and addressed. Want your own signature on it, but want it done virtually? Sign all the cards at the bottom and then mail them to the assistant. A way to get around that is to have the Gratitude Concierge sign them as XYZ Company Family.
All of your customers get a card that is hand written and it’s win win for you!
A handwritten card shows thoughtfulness. Customers and clients love that! Tweet This!
Now, if you don’t want to start writing now because you have a million other things to do, you don’t have to! Share the responsibility with an assistant now or make plans to get the process started soon. Wouldn’t it be great to know that your Christmas cards were already done and ready to be mailed by December 1st! You bet it would!
This is a service I truly love to do because when I was in human resources, one of my responsibilities was to send out the employee birthday cards and all of the Christmas cards. I had handwritten messages in all of them and they were all hand addressed. I was always told how much they were enjoyed and that it was a special touch. There were over 200 of them so each year, that’s a lot of writing!
