There’s 2 parts to Tax season as an entrepreneur:
Part 1: The awful chore of getting everything ready (unless you have a bookkeeper or accountant)
Part 2: The dread or excitement of the final result.
If you played your cards right and were lucky, you will be getting a refund! Not every business owner will get one, but a good majority might. The question is WHAT do you do with that money?
Unfortunately, many people just blow it since it’s “free money” and make plans on how they are going to use it before the return is even completed. Family vacation, things for the kids, money for Christmas, big screen TV etc. I’d never advocate that you shouldn’t have some fun, but this is also a great time to put your business first and make an investment into your business that you otherwise may not have or may have needed to wait a bit longer to purchase.
Everyone gets a different amount, but here are some creative ways for entrepreneurs to use their tax return and put money back into their business. This is also making an investment into YOU to bring you more happiness and less stress!
Coaching Program – Most of these programs are $1,000 and up and are a hefty investment, but can yield you a large return.
New Computer – Computer chugging? Now is the time to upgrade!
Office Supplies – Printer jammed? Paper shredder not working? 3 ring whole punch sticks and makes you crazy? These little things will be a great relief.
Software – Want to record webinars or have great sales pages? Make an investment into Lead Pages, Optimize Press, Go to Webinar, Easy Webinar, WishList Member or a host of any other tools that you have always wanted and never purchased.
Take Care of You – As a business owner you can’t afford to get sick and not take care of yourself. Treat yourself to some exercise equipment, essential oils, a diffuser, new shoes, a gym membership or anything that allows you to focus on you.
Personal Development – Bunch of business books you have been wanting? Get them! Keep them all in your Amazon WishList as you find them and then you have them to add to the cart when you are ready.
Social Media Graphics/Custom Pins – Always need graphics for social media and don’t have time. This is your chance to just buy some. This will give you a chance to breathe and just have them done for you.
These are just some suggestions to get you started, but the choices are endless. How will you be spending yours?
