For the most part, I think that reality T.V. can be a way to suck away hours of your life that could have been better spent elsewhere. Some of the exceptions to those shows, at least for me, are the ones where people have a chance at a career or doing something that they love. In general, these are people that are hiding all over the world with amazing talent, but no one can find them or they never believed that they had the chance.
One big thing sticks out to me when I watch these shows; they never give up. Some of them have been told a thousand times before that they weren’t going to make it, but deep down inside, they held the faith that they had enough talent to make it. I admire that.
So many people will die with their gift inside of them. Their sparkle will be dulled out by all the people that tell them that they aren’t good enough or that their dreams are impossible and to stop wasting their time. Inside all of us is a light, a light that only we can cast upon the world. It is our unique gift and purpose.
Some of us may never find it.
Some of us know what it is, but are afraid of it.
Some of us relish it and will change the world with it.
Which one of those 3 types of people will you be?
I don’t want to be the person that has a dream inside of me and then spends my entire life wishing that I had done it. I’ll make my announcement to you and I’d love if you would share yours too. I want to write a book. It has been a dream of mine since I was a child. I wanted to be an author since I was old enough to make sense out of words. I’ve put it off, torn it up and never started it a million times.
I won’t die with my dream inside of me. I’m making a commitment to make it come true.
It’s not about the money or whether I will be famous. I may write it and never show another soul, but it will be out of my body and I will feel a sense of relief.
Do you ever feel that way too? Don’t let anyone dull your sparkle. No one determines your life except you. Go on your on path to greatness and accomplish all the great things that the world has in store for you.
